The tournament was held over the weekend of 27/28 September at Hunts County Squash Club, and provided a feast of competitive high-quality squash.
Daniel McGinn (Peterborough Town) produced some excellent squash in the Under 17 final on the Saturday, eventually overcoming Robert Dadds (Comberton) in a gruelling contest, and then put on an impressive performance in the Under 19 final on Sunday before succumbing to England international Sammy Chambers (Crown Lodge). Elsje van Es (Hunts County) was a comfortable winner of both the Girls Under 17 and Under 19 events.
Tom Symmons (Comberton) retained his Under 15 title to make it three County championships in a row, while his clubmate Jeremy Harris picked up his first County title in winning the Under 13s. Nadine El-Refee (St Ivo) was hugely impressive on both days, taking the Girls Under 13 title and then producing an inspired performance against much-fancied Gregory Goodwin (Hunts County) in the Mixed Under 11 final, Gregory managing to dig deep to win the match 3-2.
