
Cambridgeshire hosted the 2nd stage of the England Squash Inter County Boys U19 this weekend. Cambridgeshire had to play Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire.
Cambridgeshire started the day off with a superb 20-0 win over Warwickshire. Warwickshire played Nottinghamshire and had a close match with Nottinghamshire winning 3-2. Cambridgeshire and Nottinghamshire with equal ties now had to play each other for a place in the finals to be held in Manchester in March.
Cambridgeshire No 5 seed Ahmed El Refee (St Ivo) and No 3 seed Robert Dadds (Comberton) both dominated their opponents winning very comfortably 3-0. No 4 string Peter Dickinson (Hunts County) clinched the tie also winning his match 3-0. No 2 string Daniel McGinn (Peterborough) and No 1 string Sammy Chambers (Crown) with the match won, played for points, with McGinn losing an exciting match 3-1 and Chambers winning his 3-2.
