Portway Perpetual Knock-out Cup 2007/08
The Portway Perpetual Cup saw Comberton under pressure with fielding only 4 players due to injury.
The pressure increased with Janet Banks being beaten by University player, Alex Bryant 3-0.
Comberton needed to win the next 3 ties to win the cup.
Experience paid off with Comberton’s No 3 string Julia Dolman beating Kate Mason 3-0, Jo Scrivens beating Mhairi Dougal 3-1 and Sarah Howlett closing the match with a 3-1 against Anne Babtie.
Comberton also were Division 1 winners of the Cambs Leagues making it a double win.
