It was ‘full house’ at Fenland Squash Club for this annual tournament in memory of county coach Brian Fielding.
All 32 players turned up on time, an organiser’s dream, and, to add to a great day, all matches were played and marked with impeccable sportsmanship.
The morning session was for players of 13 and under and was won by Harry Hennessy of Abbotsley with Jace Anderson of Ramsey in second position. Third was Adam Peer of Comberton and fourth Toby Darroch of Abbotsley.
In the afternoon session, it was really pleasing to note seven girls amongst the older competitors. Comberton players dominated the tournament which was won by Laurence Temple, with Todd Roberts in second place, Josh Harland-Mears third and Henry Prime fourth.
Many thanks to Ray Scrivens for all his help and all parents who transported and supported the competitors.
